These Stairs are similar to in the
rough with the post, but with the balusters mounted into a suspended
"Shoe Rail", were they don't touch the floor.
If you have open end treads like pictured, and don't plan on replacing
your carpet soon, this is the best option for you. |

Also the shoe rail can be installed on a
rough stringer as in the picture on the right also know as a open riser
stairs, and or "Brady Bunch Stairs" common on 70's homes.
And this particular configuration is very common. |
