The post, rail, and balusters are larger than the standard Craftsman detail.
This size of the material not recommended for most tract home, as they typically that don't have a large enouth area for this type of system.

 *  Stairs is unstained and painted

This is a standard Craftsman system that was installed on existing flooring on the treads

This one was installed as post, rail, and balusters, all the material on the floor was installed by customers flooring contractor

this is a basic Craftsman installed on wall, Paint Grade with Oak hand rail
The wall rail on the opposite side of the balustrade was install because the main balustrade rail doesn't go to the top of the stairs.
